“The works of the exhibition are visual reflections about processes in my studio. It’s contemplation on hustle, activity, productivity, as well as on static state, observation, flow of thoughts. It’s an aspiration to find oneself at an infinite moment of the present, using self-made limitations. What happens when it seems that nothing is happening?

Maija Kurseva (1981) creative talents manifest themselves in many different ways. She is a virtuoso illustrator, a teller of absurd “chance” stories and an enfant terrible all in one. Her artwork is humorous, savage, attractive and illustrative.
Kurseva works in drawing, comics, silk screen printing, street art, installation, video, animation and graphic design.
