At ART VILNIUS 2017 the Maksla XO gallery’s collection will be focusing on painting as one of the most influential art mediums and its essential role in contemporary art. The exposition will represent the diverse forms of contemporary painting.
Maksla XO the gallery’s collection will be formed of recent works by two Latvian contemporary painters Arturs Berzins and Magone Boleiko, and German painter Pius Fox.
The works by Magone Boleiko and Pius Fox show painting in its traditional form, although each of the artists have very personal approach to its technical aspects and chosen themes.
Arturs Berzins in his works combines painting and drawing, at times being more graphical, at other – more painterly.
